Billy Chapman, Varsity Head Coach
Billy Chapman grew up in Eddington, ME where he attended John Bapst Memorial High
School. After a 2001 High School State Championship in baseball, Chapman attended St. Joseph’s College of Maine where his team won two conference championships with one NCAA tournament appearance.
Coach Chapman is starting his 10th year as a varsity level coach in New Hampshire. Three years were spent at Sanborn Regional High School, and the last seven years here at Bedford. Starting his 5th year as Bedford’s head coach, Chapman has compiled a 51-32 record, 86-57 career record, and has led Bedford to four Final Four appearances and one State Championship Runner-up.
Coach Chapman and the Bedford baseball community has helped send 20 players to all three NCAA Divisions and (1) player to the MLB directly from Bedford High School.
In addition to coaching at Bedford High School, Billy teaches 5th and 6th grade physical education at McKelvie Intermediate School in Bedford.
Matt Woodmansee, JV Head Coach
Matthew Grew up in Bedford, NH and Graduated from Bedford High School in 2010. Matthew Was a co-captain for the 2010 State runner up baseball team and also a member of the 2011 Bedford Legion team that went to the American Legion World Series. Coaching history includes University of Tampa Student Intern 2014, Varsity volunteer assistant for Bedford from 2011-2013, Show Baseball coach 2013-2014 and Bedford Legion assistant 2012-2013. Matthew is a 2014 graduate of the University of Tampa with a degree in Sport Management.
Sean Donahue, Freshman Head Coach
Sean Donahue is a fifth grade teacher at McKelvie Intermediate School in Bedford. He is also an Assistant Football coach at Bedford High School. Having grown up playing football, basketball, and baseball in Plymouth, NH; Sean played football at Stonehill College in North Easton, MA and graduated with degrees in Elementary Education and Mathematics.

Matthew Guerard, Varsity Head Coach
Matt continues his 9th season as our Boy's Lacrosse head coach (8 years - Varsity, 1 year - JV). Coach Guerard has compiled a record of 111 wins and 16 losses. In 2010, only their 2nd varsity season, the team was runner-up in the state championship game losing in OT. In 2012, Bedford capped an undefeated season 19-0, en route to winning the school's first boys’ lacrosse Division II State Championship. They also won State titles in 2013 and 2014.
Coach Guerard has earned Division II Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and again in 2012. In 2010, Coach Guerard was chosen by the Union Leader Newspaper as the 2010 New Hampshire Boy's Lacrosse Coach of the Year. A prestigious award given to only one boys coach in the state of NH. He has coached 45 All-State players, 4 Players of the Year, 2 Academic All-American, and 5 All-American player in his 8 years as our head coach. 21 players in 8 years have gone on to play college lacrosse.
In addition to coaching at BHS, Coach Guerard is an active coach and evaluator in the New Hampshire Tomahawks Lacrosse Club. Prior to coming to Bedford High School, Coach Guerard served as the JV Boy's Lacrosse coach at Pinkerton Academy from 2003-2007 and a varsity assistant. He has also coached at the collegiate level, at Catawba College (NC), serving as a defensive and goalie coach.

Christine Hodgdon, Varsity Head Coach
Christine is currently the Varsity Coach at Bedford High School. Over the last four seasons, she has compiled a record of 47-24 and guided the Bulldogs to three straight Division II semifinal appearances. Her players have received All-State recognition and many are pursuing collegiate careers at all levels of play under her guidance. She is also a volunteer coach and coordinator for the Boston Cannons youth programs as well as the Director of lacrosse for Cave Girl Programs. Christine is a member of the NHIAA Girls Lacrosse Committee and has served as the Chair for the National Tournament Team NH/VT. Christine’s philosophy includes teaching and strengthening the fundamental skills of the game while focusing on increasing the player’s level of confidence. Players are given the opportunity to learn new skills, advanced drills, team concepts, and shown how to apply them in highly competitive situations.
Christine also spent 6 years as the Head Lacrosse Coach at Saint Anselm College. Her coaching experience includes Head Coaching stints at New England College, Bishop Brady High School, and Exeter High School. Christine was a collegiate lacrosse and basketball player. Christine holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is a Guidance Counselor in the Manchester School District and a Certified Youth and Adolescent Life Coach.
Linnea Hilchey, JV Head Coach
Linnea grew up in Bedford, NH and is entering her second year coaching lacrosse at BHS! Currently she works at Lurgio Middle School as an Academic Support teacher. Previous to this she worked at Riddle Brook Elementary School and Peter Woodbury Elementary School. She graduated from Keene State with her undergraduate and is currently attending Southern New Hampshire for her masters. She played varsity lacrosse her freshman year at West High School and both junior varsity and varsity for three years at Bedford High School.
Steven Kraytenberg, Varsity Head Coach
Steve Kraytenberg is the Executive Director of Baseball and Softball at the New Hampshire Sportsplex in Bedford, and Vice-President of Sales at the Executive Health and Sports Centerin Manchester. He has coached baseball and softball for over 30 years, spending the last sixteen years coaching girls’ fast-pitch. Steve has coached showcase teams with the New England Diamond Gems for the last five years with his sole purpose of getting his players recruited to college, achieving great results. Prior, he coached for the New Hampshire Lightning, New Hampshire Hammerheads, and Londonderry All-Star teams. Steve is the former Vice-President of Softball for the Londonderry Athletic and Field Association and currently serves as a District Commissioner for Babe Ruth Softball. Throughout the years, he has served on the Board of Directors for various softball organizations in the region.
Karen Simard, JV Head Coach
Karen Simard is a personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has a BS in Health and Fitness from Keene State College. Coach Simard has been coaching softball for several years. In addition to Softball, she has been coaching soccer and basketball at West Running Brook in Derry, NH.
Shawna Morley, Head Coach
Shawna Morley is the Varsity Boys Tennis Coach. Currently, Shawna is an elementary physical education teacher at Green Acres School in Manchester. She has coached high school tennis in NH for 19 years. Shawna came to Bedford after developing a successful program at West High, winning the state class "L" championship in 2005. Last spring she coached the Bedford Bulldogs to a "perfect" 19-0 season winning the state class "I" championship. Shawna was inducted into the Manchester Queen City Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.

Chris Bouressa, Head Coach
This is her first season as the Head Coach to the Girls Varsity Tennis Team. Chris is a USPTR Certified Teaching Pro experienced in teaching strategy, developing skills, sportsmanship and team spirit, and is looking forward to contributing to the success of the team. Prior to coming to Bedford High School, Chris taught at The Allard Center in Goffstown, NH where she worked as the Tennis Camp Director and a Tennis Instructor for the past four years. Her passion and dedication to the sport has also led her to partner with the USTA in an effort to promote and grow tennis in the Concord area as well.
Mauricio Vivado, Assistant
Mauricio will be assisting Head Coach Chris Bouressa with the GirIs’ Tennis team. Mauricio and his family have been residents of Bedford for 18 years. A lifelong singles and doubles player, Mauricio began teaching tennis to children when his own two kids were young and he continues to share his enthusiasm for the game by instructing Bedford youth over the past 5 years through the Lurgio Middle School Tennis Club. Last year, Mauricio volunteered as an assistant coach for the Bedford Boys’ Tennis team during its successful 2015 State Champion season. Mauricio's favorite part of coaching is helping players develop their skills and confidence over the season while enjoying their time on the court.

Derek Stank, Assistant
Derek Stank comes to Bedford High School where he will teach Wellness and work as an Assistant Football coach and as Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field coach. Having a solid background in those sports as a high school athlete, Derek continued at the University of New Hampshire where in 2006, as a defensive end, he served as Team Captain. In track & Field his concentration was on the shot put, discus, and javelin.

Noah Pion, Head Coach
Noah Pion is a Wellness teacher at Bedford High School and is entering his ninth year as a Bedford track and field coach. With a passion for training, Coach Pion’s main goals are keeping athletes healthy and on the track; and making them stronger, faster, and feeling better in the process.
When coaching, Noah’s primary focus is on the track events. He is the head coach for sprints, hurdles, and relays. Coach Pion led the boys 4x100 relay team to a Division II record in 2012 and the overall state record in 2013. In 2013, the girls 4x400 went on to win the state championship and ran the second fastest time ever in New Hampshire -- just missing the state record. He has coached many individual state champions and state champion relay teams.
Coach Pion took over the head girls’ coaching position in 2013 when the team entered Division I. In the past three-years (six seasons), the team has won four state championships, including three straight championships in Outdoor Track (2013-2015). In 2015, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named Coach Pion the New Hampshire Girls’ Coach of the Year.
Stephanie Burnham, Assistant
Stephanie is a Humanities teacher at Bedford High School and a veteran distance runner with more than twenty years of experience. She ran Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track for the University of New Hampshire and has continued to compete for Athletic Alliance Running Club since graduating in 2003. Stephanie works year-round with the distance runners at BHS, serving as head Cross Country coach in the fall and an assistant track coach in both the winter and the spring.
Stephanie has been teaching high school English for eleven years. Prior to coming to Bedford High School, she taught at Manchester Central High School where she worked as an assistant and volunteer for the distance teams for several seasons.
